We offer secure and compliant transport of whisky and spirits under our own Movement Guarantee. Our haulage service is specifically tailored towards helping many customers who don’t have the security to get their goods moved, including independent bottlers and cask owners.

On top of providing the Movement Guarantee, we also operate with an insurance policy specifically catering to the transport of casks and bottles of spirits. We can offer cover for your goods up to £450,000 on groupage loads and up to £1 million on dedicated movements.
Whilst we specialise in duty suspended cask and bottle transport we also provide dry goods and general haulage services, all insured by our generous policy.
What is a Movement Guarantee
When transporting goods under duty suspension there must be a HMRC approved Movement Guarantee in place to cover the potential duty payment on the excise goods on board. With the current duty rate at £32.79 per pure litre of alcohol and the average cask containing 125 litres of pure alcohol, there can be a huge amount of potential duty due to HMRC per truck load.
Any business transporting under bond goods will require their consignments to move under a Movement Guarantee. Dispatching and receiving warehouses are able to provide the Movement Guarantee for a consignment, but at Marshall Brothers Transport, we believe putting this liability on the haulier, who is physically moving and responsible for transporting the load, is the best practice to ensure the goods arrive where they are supposed to and can be accounted for at any time.

The Guarantee must also be reviewed constantly to ensure the level covers the volume of duty suspended alcohol you’re moving.
